A freshman legislator, who was sworn into office three months into the 2016 session, John co-authored House Bill 910 (Open Carry) and House Joint Resolution 61 that proposed the new amendment to the Texas Constitution to safeguard hunting and fishing rights which was also supported by the EWA. Earnest Bailes, candidate for Texas House District 18. Earnest is a 5th generation Texan who was raised on his family’s dairy and beef cattle operation in Shepherd where he learned the conservative values of honest and hard work at an early age.  He earned a degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University before building his company, Repro Select, into a highly successful business that serves ranchers and whitetail deer breeders across Texas and the south-central U.S. Among his commitments, if elected, will be to fight for our private property rights against eminent domain and the encroachment of the federal government, to enforce the southern border, to ensure Texas sovereignty, to stop sanctuary cities, and to enforce our existing immigration laws. As an NRA member he will fight to protect our Second Amendment rights. For more information please visit http://www.bailesfortexas.com

EWA endorsement for the Texas Senate:

Reed Williams, candidate for Texas Senate District 24. Reed is a fifth generation Texan, whose career was in the petroleum refining and marketing industry.
