It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of EWA Lifetime Member and Board of Director Mr. Gene Bode.
Mr. Bode passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13th at the age of 75. He was a true gentleman and a devoted Christian. His family and friends were very dear to him. Mr. Bode, longtime owner and operator of Bode Feed in Harper, TX, was a pioneer in the feed industry and he devoted his life to developing products that would benefit the animal industry. Because of dedication to this industry and the people in it, he was awarded with an EWA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Margaret and their family.
Visitation will be Friday, January 16th from
5pm – 7pm at the Grimes Funeral Chapel,
728 Jefferson Street, Kerrville, TX.
Funeral services will be held at the Lighthouse Fellowship Chapel, located at 2nd and Roberts Street, in Harper, TX beginning at 10am on Saturday, January 17th with burial to follow at the Harper Community Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the Harper Community Cemetery, the Lighthouse Fellowship Church or the Harper EMS/Fire Department.
