The Exotic Wildlife Association is once again facing an extremely important battle to remove the restrictions of the Endangered Species Act from the three species (Scimitar Horned Oryx, Dama Gazelle, and Addax). The amendment introduced by Congressman John (Judge) Carter (R) of Round Rock, Texas which would place the three species back to the status given to them in September 2005 has passed out of Committee in the House of Representatives by a unanimous voice vote and will be heard sometime this fall as Congress takes up various appropriations bills.
