THE EXOTIC WILDLIFE ASSOCIATION’S 46TH ANNUAL CONVENTION

The Exotic Wildlife Association is celebrating its 46th anniversary as the oldest private property rights association in the country. Please join us March 8-10 at our new location in San Marcos, Texas at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center. Set in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, our new location affords an opportunity, not only for our exhibitors, but our attendees as well because of the spacious surroundings of this venue.

Friday afternoon our attendees can either take their chances at EWA’s annual Texas Hold’em tournament or you can enjoy the tour of EWA Director Jimmy Gregory’s Austin Savanna Ranch. The Austin Savanna has been labeled as one of the premier animal preserves in the country and is home to dozens of different species of rare and endangered exotic animals.

Friday night’s festivities begin with the EWA fun auction and then dance the evening away to the country sounds of the Meyer Anderson Band.

One of the most important events of the weekend is the annual membership meeting and election of directors. This year’s slate of candidates come from a very diverse background and offers the expertise necessary to move this association in a very positive direction. Your association’s directors set the policy and procedures for this organization and have made the EWA one of the top associations in the nation.

Saturday afternoon’s annual video animal auction is the premier exotic animal auction in the country. This year’s 11th annual auction will be offering some of the finest non-native hoofstock consignments to be found anywhere. This is an excellent opportunity to stock a new ranch or sell some of the excess stock that you might have. Please contact Vick Jones, our auction committee chairman or the EWA office with your consignments.

This year’s event will conclude with our special awards ceremony and grand auction on Saturday night and we invite all members to attend the EWA board meeting Sunday morning.
