HOOPER, Utah — A 14-year-old boy who went missing while hunting in the marshes around Ogden Bay has been found safe.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that the teen was reported missing the night before by another juvenile.

Both had been hunting since 2 a.m. and became separated.

Deputies say the missing boy made 911 calls but sounded disoriented.

With extremely cold conditions outside, crews on the ground and in the air searched for several hours.

Dispatchers then received a 911 call from the boy around 6 a.m. Sunday from a landline at the Antelope Island Causeway in Syracuse.

Authorities say the teen somehow made his way to that location.

They located him and say he appeared somewhat delusional.

He was hospitalized but his current condition was not known.
