The Exotic Wildlife Association is again facing a long drawn out battle in Congress as we attempt to remove several more species (Arabian Oryx, Barasingha, Eld’s Deer, Red Lechwe, Grevy’s Zebra) out from under the restrictions of the Endangered Species Act. The three species fight was a long and costly battle for your association. Over $500,000.00 was spent which was a tremendous depletion of our association’s resources.
You can rest assured the animal rights crowd, such as the Humane Society of the United States and Friends of Animals, will be more than committed in stopping our future efforts. Your association is engaged in an ongoing lobbying and legislative effort both at the state and national level. This is a drain on EWA resources and by making this fundraiser a major success it will allow the EWA to continue in its fight. Please join us in an effort to raise the much needed revenue and protect our member’s way of life.
